Allow pedestrians and cyclists access to the Recycling Centre

It's ridiculous and unreasonable to ask people with cars/vans to drive those without to the Recycling Centre or to get rid of somebody else's stuff.  The rubbish collecting trucks are pushed enough as it is and can't handle some waste/recyclables anyway, eg.strip lighting.

Also, turning away drivers for not having made arrangements online with the Recycling Centre seems farcical. Fly tipping is happening all over the place and restricting access only makes the problem worse.

Why the contribution is important

Such broad bureaucratic policies implemented with Covid excuses are not useful to residents. BANES isn't encouraging us to recycle or be thoughtful about what we throw in the bin.

I wasn’t aware that pedestrians and cyclists were not allowed to visit the recycling centre! If this is the case then it is certainly completely unreasonable.

Of course it should be accessible to all. And they should be beautifully designed, decorated, planted. There's a case that the recycling centre should be the most beautiful of all our civic assets (more than any Guildhall or church).
