Connect local entrepreneurs with local investors

Rather than a municipal bond, bring local people with sound 'green' business ideas relevant to the area together with local people who care about Bath&NES's environment and have money to invest.   This avoids bureaucracy, ensures local focus and enables those with capital but cannot see how to contribute to do so.   The council then acts as convenor - providing information and bringing potential participants together - but is not financially involved and so bears no risk.

Why the contribution is important

This is a way of focussing the effort on what might best work here, and creating jobs and economic growth in the area.

I would welcome such an introduction service between local entrepreneurs and local investors, and recognise that the the Council maybe best placed to convene it, but rather than an alternative to the municipal bond, I see both ideas and more, as part of the mix of purposeful impact finance I describe (in my posted idea) essential to realising the vision for our locality at pace and scale.
